Kim Jong-un’s train continues north… Meeting at Vostochny Cosmodrome?

The private train carrying Chairman Kim Jong-un arrived at Khasan Station on the North Korea-Russia border this morning and then moved toward Ussuriysk.

Initially, the local prediction was that this train would change tracks before arriving at Ussuriysk Station and head to Vladivostok, located further south.

However, at around 1:10 PM local time, it was reported that the train maintained its direction and continued moving toward Khabarovsk Oblast, which is located much further north.

Russia’s local RIA Novosti news agency also reported that Chairman Kim’s train was moving north across the railway bridge across the Razdolnaya River below near Ussuriysk Station.

There are also predictions that if this train continues to move northwest안전놀이터the venue for the North Korea-Russia summit, which is still shrouded in mystery, could be the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur region.

Vostochny Cosmodrome is a state-of-the-art spaceport newly built in 2012 to reduce dependence on Kazakhstan’s ‘Baikonur’ cosmodrome, which is being leased by Russia. The first satellite was launched in April 2016.

It is also considered a place that can symbolically demonstrate the expansion of military cooperation between North Korea and Russia.
