Borussia Dortmund are poised to retain Jude Bellingham for one more season, who has been predicted to face a huge scouting competition this summer.

Bellingham, a promising youngster from England, is attracting attention from many big clubs by showing great skills despite his young age of 19.

Bellingham moved from Birmingham City to Dortmund in 2020 for a transfer fee of 26 million euros (approximately 36.5 billion won), and at the same time as the transfer, he became the core of Dortmund.

He continues to play in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League and is constantly receiving good reviews. He is also the third captain at Dortmund this season, after Marco Reus and Mats Hummels.

In the last 2022 Qatar World Cup, Bellingham, who showed tremendous performance as a main player for the England national team, attracted attention from all over Europe, and his value soared even more because of his skills that did not fall behind on the international stage even at a young age.

Despite its high value, not only Liverpool and Real Madrid, which were mentioned as potential destinations for Bellingham, but also other top European clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are being added as candidates for scouting.

However, Dortmund do not seem to be willing to let go of Bellingham, who is the core of the team and still has plenty of room for growth at such a young age.

German media Bild reported on the 28th (Korean time) that it was “a secret plan between Bellingham and Dortmund.”

“Dortmund wants to extend the contract with Bellingham for one year and include a 150 million euro (about 211 billion won) buyout clause,” Bild said. “Dortmund will invite Bellingham’s father to discuss his future. It is a plan, and this plan also includes a plan to make him the highest-paid player in the club’s history by offering him an annual salary of 15 million euros (about 21.1 billion won),” said Dortmund’s plan.

According to reports, Bellingham is currently earning an annual salary of 6 million euros (about 8.4 billion won), and his contract expires in 2025. Dortmund is expected to plan to raise the transfer fee received from the sale of Bellingham by setting a buyout through a salary increase of more than double.

Regarding the background of Dortmund’s plan, he explained, “This proposal can benefit both the player and the club as Dortmund can find a replacement over the course of a year.”

Meanwhile, Bilt emphasized that even if Bellingham is offered the highest salary, it is unknown whether he will remain with the team as Real Madrid and Manchester City will persuade him. 메이저사이트

With Europe’s top clubs such as Real and Liverpool looking to recruit, whether Bellingham will grow while accompanying the club for another year or leave for a new stage is expected to receive great attention throughout the summer transfer market.
